UPSI RESEARCH ETHICS COMITTEE
Research Management and Innovation Centre (RMIC) has developed the Research Ethics Committee of Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI) with approval of the 119th University Board of Directors Meeting No. 5/2018.
RESEARCH ETHICS COMPLIANCE
All research involving;
• Use of humans as subjects, use of human-related data and records, or;
• Use of animals as study samples, or/and;
• Use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and living modified organisms (LMOs)
Note: Applications open from 1 January 2019
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
All researchers conducting research related to human, animal and biosafety subjects must obtain research ethics approval subject to requirements.
• Applications from postgraduate students and pre-graduate students are encouraged.
• For ongoing research, researchers can apply for research ethics approval subject to data collection involving human/animal/biosafety subjects has not yet been done.
