Malaysia Research Assessment (MyRA®) is an assessment instrument developed by the Ministry of Higher Education to measure the level of research excellence of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Malaysia. MyRA adopts an analytical approach based on inputs, processes, outputs, outcomes, and impact in the areas of Research, Development, Commercialisation, and Innovation (RDC&I).
This assessment involves comprehensive data declaration by institutional management as well as all active academic staff. Complete and integrated collection of RDC&I data is crucial as a foundation for performance monitoring, benchmarking, and strategic planning of HEIs, as well as for the formulation of national higher education policies.
